About
Nick
Born and raised in Sarasota, my love for soccer started at age 5 watching my older siblings play for their travel teams. I remember the passion the community had for the sport and the appreciation for skilled players. This early introduction motivated me to start playing soccer where I progressed to the competitive level through high school. I faced an unfortunate accident that would end my soccer career- but further fuel my passion for helping/coaching younger athletes. After a year of feeling lost, my passion for soccer was ignited by coaching at my local YMCA where I worked at the time. I would later go on to run the program for 2 years until I decided to become a better coach by joining Next Generation Soccer Academy (now DME) and learning from many coaches like our very own Greg Atkin and John Taylor. I have a passion for coaching early development and the younger ages and love to see the kids excel. I’m a student at USF on track to becoming a pediatric Clinical Psychologist and have been coaching at DME for the past few months running the Early Development Program (3-8-year-olds).
