DME Academy Sarasota Impresses at NAL Boys Crossover Fest in Georgia

DME Academy Sarasota delivered a statement weekend at the NAL Boys Crossover Fest in Georgia, taking on top competition from Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, and even Massachusetts, and proving once again that our teams are built for the next level.
Across four age groups—2008/07, 2009, 2010, and 2011—DME athletes showcased quality, discipline, and consistency, finishing with a combined 7-3-2 record. Two of our teams, the 2010 Boys and 2009 Boys, went undefeated and won their groups, reinforcing DME’s growing reputation as a program capable of competing with, and outperforming, top regional and national clubs.
2010 Boys: 22 Goals Scored, 1 Conceded
The 2010s delivered one of the most dominant performances of the entire event. With a staggering 22-1 goal differential, they controlled every game through high-tempo possession, pressing intelligence, and clinical finishing. Their consistency across all phases of play reflects in the scoreline 22 goals for and 1 against as well as a 3-0 record.
2009 Boys: A Perfect Defensive Weekend
Equally impressive were the 2009 Boys, who did not concede a single goal the entire weekend, an accomplishment at any level. Outscoring opponents 7-0, they displayed maturity, structure, and a collective commitment to defending that highlights their readiness for elevated competition. They boys balled out at 2-0-1.
2008/07 Boys: 1-1-1
The 2008/07 boys competed in every single game and ended with a respectable 1-1-1 record, finishing mid table and heading home ready to on the second half of the season.
2011 Boys: 1-2
The 2011 boys competed in every single game and ended with a respectable 1-2 record, competing without key players that were lost to injury. The break will be welcomed as they gear up for a run in Spring soccer with first place still within grasp in the NAL.
