Andy Wathey is originally from the UK, where he developed a love for soccer and many other sports from an early age. He played soccer from the local club level through to district level and continued playing both soccer and cricket throughout college.

After college, Andy hung up his boots for a while. However, when his son was born, his enthusiasm for the game—along with that of his friends—reignited Andy’s passion for soccer and inspired him to begin coaching.

Having coached both soccer and cricket, Andy believes there is no better feeling than seeing something click for a young athlete and then watching them apply what they have learned in a game. He understands that every player learns differently and responds to different types of feedback, so he strives to find the most effective way to communicate, encourage, and get the best out of each individual.

Andy’s modest claim to fame is that, after several unsuccessful trials, he eventually managed to play at Old Trafford!
