Gi Krstec Joins The Coaching Staff At DME

Gi comes to DME Academy, Sarasota hot off of an impressive collegiate playing career where she starred for two Division I programs. Krstec signed first with the University of Maryland before transferring after her freshman year to Florida Atlantic University. At FAU, she succeeds both on the field and in the classroom making her the perfect role model for the female athletes of DME Academy, Sarasota.
Krstec earned All-C-USA Academic honors in 2023. She closed out her senior season with seven goals, three assists, and 17 points this year. Over her career, Krstec scored 12 goals with seven assists for 31 points in 71 games played for FAU. Krstec also started in all 71 of those games since transferring to FAU from Maryland in 2018. Krstec recorded First Team All-C-USA in each of her final three seasons, as well as two Second Team United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors and a First Team All-Region honor this year.
