John

John Taylor has been playing soccer since he was 5. Born in Paris, France he moved to Florida and played at IMG Academy. John also participated in pro trials in France for Ligue 1 teams and is pursuing his coaching license.

Transitioning from player to coach, John embarked on an eight-year coaching journey, mentoring players ranging from 4 to 19 years old. His coaching repertoire spans across numerous local clubs. With a profound understanding of the game and its nuances, John identified gaps in the local soccer scene and set out to fill them, ensuring that Sarasota’s aspiring talents have the resources they need to thrive.

John brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field and is poised to make a transformative impact. His vision is clear: to cultivate an elite environment where both players and coaches are empowered to chase their dreams relentlessly.

“I have learned most of life’s lessons with a ball at my feet,” John reflects, highlighting the profound influence soccer has had on his personal growth. With a fervent commitment to nurturing not just soccer skills, but also the character and integrity of his players, John’s mission transcends the boundaries of the game. He takes immense pride in witnessing his players evolve, both as athletes and as individuals, instilling in them values that extend far beyond the pitch.

At DME Academy, Sarasota, John has coached the 2010 & 2009 Boys Black teams. Both are top ranked teams in the NAL, EA and across the state. With a final four run to the Elite Academy Nationals in 24/25 and big goals for 25/26 post season as both teams are looking at NAL & EA National runs this June. JT lives the winning mentality of DME.

Additionally, JT runs the athletic training component for the full-time school program. He is set to coach the U17 MLS, NAL teams next season and take over the reigns for the 2012 Girls Black team (U15) , with Assistant Coach Jared Antista by his side. He will also lead the Boys Program solely in 25/26.

JT is instrumental to the culture of the club.
