Elite Academy Talent ID Team Identifies Two DME Athletes For The MIC Cup
December 8, 2023
Congratulations to Lucas Diaz (2009) and Lucas Turasz (2010) on their selection to the Elite Academy National Team pool. Both players were identified at the recent Elite Academy Showcase at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch Florida. These players will join other stars from across the country and have the option to join an Elite Academy MIC Cup team that will play this Spring in Barcelona Spain, in some cases, fully funded by the Elite Academy.
Lucas Diaz is one of the leaders on the DME 2009 boys black team. A vocal leader, he steers the ship from his goalie position. Lucas has great size, a competitive spirit and lays his body on the line for his teammates. “Lucas is my leader, always staying after practice to put in extra work and wants to reach the next level more than anyone else. We love having him in the net.” Konrad, Head Coach 2009 Boys.
Lucas Turasz holds down the central midfield for a very talented and undefeated 2010 team in the Elite Academy. He is one of many strong, technical, and offensive-minded players but a crucial component of the team’s efforts. “This recognition for Lucas is fully deserved. The biggest compliment I can give him is that he’s an amazing teammate and an extremely coachable player who’s always looking to learn, develop, and become the best player he can be. It’s a pleasure to have him in our group, and I know all his teammates are proud of him for this achievement.” Greg, Head Coach 2010 Boys.
DME loves the Elite Academy League and the pathways and experiences it offers our boys. Looking to get on the squad for next season? Let’s do it!
