DME To Visit FC Köln in 2024/2025

DME athletes are invited to experience top-level football and culture in the historic city of ‘Köln’, Germany. The players will train daily at the Ostkampfbahn – right in the view of FC Köln’s home, the RheinEnergieSTADION. Under the direct supervision of their qualified and experienced coaching staff, athletes are guaranteed a week of optimal soccer development, while parents and family members will be treated to daily guided tours and excursions in and around the city of Cologne.

Trip Details for DME Academy, Sarasota

Day One

Fly to Germany - Depart for Cologne, Germany on an overnight international flight.

Day Two

Arrival in Germany & Guided Tour – Navigo Tour Directors will meet players and families at the hotel then enjoy a guided city tour of Cologne including the UNESCO heritage Cathedral and Sport & Olympic Museum. Followed by a group welcome dinner.

Day Three

Explore Cologne & Training Camp Day 1 - Training Camp Day 1 at 1. FC Köln Football School. Followed by a stadium tour of the RheinEnergieSTADION, home of 1. FC Köln! (includes breakfast & dinner, lunch for players)

Day Four

Training Camp Day 2 – Training Camp Day 2 at 1. FC Köln Football School. Followed by a visit to the Chocolate Museum. (includes breakfast & dinner, lunch for players)

Day Five

Training Camp Day 3 - Training Camp Day 3 at 1. FC Köln Football School. Parents and families embark on a Rhine River cruise & wine tasting, followed by a visit to the German Sport & Olympic Museum (includes breakfast & dinner, lunch for players)

Day Six

Training Camp Day 4 - Training Camp Day 4 at 1. FC Köln Football School. Visit the Schloss Burg an der Wupper Castle in the North Rhine Westphalia Region (for parents/family while players are at camp). (includes breakfast & dinner, lunch for players)

Day Seven

Training Camp Day 5 & Farewell Dinner - Training Camp Day 5 at 1. FC Köln Football School. Evening Farewell Dinner hosted by Navigo Sports Tours. (includes breakfast & dinner, lunch for players).Guaranteed test match on the last day of camp (this could be an FC Cologne youth side or youth club from any of the many other surrounding pro clubs)

Day Eight

Final Travel Day Home – Depart to the airport for return flight home.

Happy 4th of July - Independence Day

A special 4th of July BBQ celebration will be arranged for the group (most likely at Haus Unkelbach in Cologne).


Other Notes:

EURO2024 tix become available on October 8th - our partners at Navigo Sports Tours will work with us to get tickets to the quarterfinal game in Dusseldorf.

Anyone who wants to stay longer and go to a EURO semi-final game in Dortmund on July 10th can do so on their own, and keep the same hotel.

Five days of camp Monday - Friday

Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Directed by experienced ‘FC’ coaches

The focus will be on the football key areas, dribbling, feinting, passing, and finishing.
