Girls Coaching Staff At DME Academy Is Coming In HOT!

“Big announcements” come and go but the secret to running a successful program fostering development is the support staff behind the girls on the field. After a successful DME Nationals Girls ID Clinic with 50+ athletes in attendance across club lines, it’s time to gear up for tryouts and summer training programs (that are included in your membership fees).

The 2024/25 Girls Coaching Staff is off the charts stacked. Let’s take a look at the roster of coaches, team lineups, and what to expect in 24/25.

At the top:

Glodi Konga, UEFA B License and Director of Soccer & College Placement (new addition) 

Glodi, Assistant Director of Athletics and Head Coach of the Men’s Program will play a vital role in club training programs, scheduling, league development, and overall athlete performance. As the girls in our program age up, he’ll lead the charge on college placement, using his vast network to help girls reach their dreams of playing in college or beyond.

John Taylor, Assistant Director of Coaching and Head Coach

JT returns for year two at DME Academy. His cool, calm, and professional behavior makes him a club favorite not to mention his ability to bring out the best in all athletes.

Patrick Mulcahy, USSF A License and Head Coach 2010 & 2014 Team (new addition) 

Patrick is a new addition to the DME Family. He comes to the program extremely decorated and experienced and has built a reputation as a top coach in the girl’s game in the Florida and New Hampshire markets. Patrick is firm but fair, and professional and pushes the girls to reach new heights. He comes over to the program from Braden River, now Florida Premier South.

Debbie Pekel, USSF C License (expected to achieve B by August) and Co-Coach of the 2008/2009 Girls Team

Debbie eturns for year two at DME Academy. Debbie is also the Head Coach at New College on the women’s side of the game where she is spearheading the program. At DME in 2024, she led the 2014 girls’ team to a top 20 ranking in the state. In 24/25, Debbie will co-coach the 2008/2009 Girls Black Team and work to strengthen the girl’s academy as a whole.

Scott Morgenroth, USSF A License and Co-Coach 2012 Girls Team

Scott returns for year two at DME Academy. Scott is the ultimate professional and a stickler for technical work. He has helped lead the 2012 girls to a top ten ranking (as high as #1) and pushed the girls to maximize their potential.  In 24/25, Scott will co-coach the 2012 Girls Black Team with Jared Antista and assist in the technical programming for the club.

Tonio Paternotro, USSF A License

Tonio is the Southeast Development Academy Scout for US Soccer, has coached youth soccer for over 20 years, and is dedicated to ensuring each player makes technical improvements at every session. Tonio was previously at IMG Academy where he was the Head Coach of the U18 Development Academy team. At DME Academy, Tonio will run technical training sessions for all athletes.

Nathan Alexander, College & Club Experience and Co-Coach 2008/09 Girls (new addition) 

Nathan is new to DME in 24/25. He comes to us from New College where he serves as an Assistant Coach to Debbie Pekel. He has coaching experience across the club and the collegiate level.

Kiara Snel, College & Club Experience and Co-Coach 2011 & 2015 Boys/Boys

Kiara comes to us from Dallas Surf where she was a Head Coach of the 2012 Boys. She is also an Assistant Coach at New College and enjoyed a successful collegiate career at Brewton-Parker College (NAIA) in Georiga. She also represented her National Team at the U15, U17, and U20 levels for Curacao.

Jared Antista, DME Academy, Sarasota Founder, and C0-Couach 2012 and 2011 Girls

With the resume, experience, and mindset to see the girl’s program grow at DME- this team will help be provide your athletes with the platform, resources and pathways needed to reach their goals.
