The 2006/07 boys team from Sarasota will head up to Daytona to compete at the Battle of The Beach Showcase at the DME Academy full-time campus. With eight teams attending, all tied to residential academies, we enter year two of the event, doubling the size of last year, but still small and highly competitive. The boys from Sarasota will line up across from FC Florida & Combine Academy from North Carolina.

Saturday, 9AM: FC Florida 2

Sunday, 11AM: Combine Academy 1

“This is a great test for our boys, Coach Jake and the crew will head north and play on the state-of-the-art turf field, get to spend time with coaches and staff from Daytona and get some good games under their belt. We started this event because we think large showcases fight for eyeballs with hundreds of teams, thousands of players and limited coaches. We go the opposite approach, keep it small, keep it focused on the soccer and let the cards fall where they may.” Jared Antista, GM
