2010 Boys Kick Off Season with High-Intensity Pre-Season Camp in Daytona
August 3, 2025
The 2010 Boys team(s) launched their season with an overnight pre-season training camp at our state-of-the-art facility in Daytona. Over two intense days, the 25-player roster completed six training sessions, combining fitness challenges, technical development and play.
From the first whistle, the boys demonstrated focus and grit, pushing through demanding assessments including the Manchester United Test, the Beep Test, and the 1K Test all in the August heat. These evaluations set the tone for a weekend dedicated to building both individual resilience and team chemistry.
Despite a mix of returning players and new faces, the group quickly gelled. The reward for their hard work came in the form of competitive scrimmages, where the boys showcased selfless soccer and a noticeable uptick in positive communication on the field. A new and stronger team bond is already beginning to flourish.
Head Coach John Taylor praised the team’s energy and mindset:
“I like what I see. The boys played free, selfless soccer. I think we’re going to shock some folks this season building off of last years success. Our new guys bring some bulldog mentality to an already impressive core.”
Coming off a top-3 finish nationally in last year’s Elite Academy League, expectations are high. With the right work ethic and promising early signs, this squad looks poised to make serious runs in both the NAL and EA competitions this year.
The season is just beginning, but the foundation has been set — and it’s a strong one. With 2024/25 behind us, its a new season for the 2010 boys. Get ready, Florida.
