Tim Betts is very much a local legend in our area. His soccer resume and reputation are universally respected by coaches, clubs, and parents across the state. Lucky for us, Tim has decided to bring his talents to the DME Academy, Sarasota staff, and is now the fifth A-Licensed coach on the roster.

Tim spent five years at IMG Academy as the U17 US Soccer Resident Director for the soccer program, coached on the Tennessee ODP staff for five years, and spent four years in the collegiate coaching ranks at both Trevecca Nazarene University and Mid America Nazarene University.

Beyond coaching, he was the Brentwood Soccer Club Boy’s Director for 8 years before leading and growing the North Manatee Soccer Club in Parrish as the Director of Coaching for the past six years. He helped grow the club and was a mainstay in the cultural fabric of their success.

He holds his USSF A License, NSCAA Goalkeeper Diploma, and Coerver Skills Certificates for technical training.  At DME Academy, Tim will coach the 2015/ 2016 Boys’ teams, lead Goalkeeper Training as the Director of Goalkeeping, and hold technical position-specific training for the club.
