DME Boys Shine At MIC Cup Led By Lucas Turasz
April 25, 2025
DME Academy made a powerful statement on the international stage as five of its standout players were selected to represent the Elite Academy League National Team at the prestigious MIC Cup in Barcelona. Christian Alcaraz, Robbie Motroni, Henry George, Guillermo Quixal, and Lucas Turasz earned the distinguished honor, showcasing their talent among some of the world’s best youth soccer players.
The 2010 Boys EA Talent ID Team featured four DME players and left an undeniable mark on the tournament, winning the Silver Bracket in a fiercely competitive field that included pro clubs and elite select teams from across the globe.
Leading the way was team captain Lucas Turasz, who turned heads with his remarkable performance. Playing every minute of every match in an unfamiliar center-back role, Lucas led with heart, composure, and relentless energy. His standout efforts earned him the MVP Award from the EA Talent Coaching Staff.
“Congrats to all boys, but a special shoutout goes to Lucas—his energy, skill, poise, and passion for the game truly set him apart. We’re thrilled to have Lucas back for the 2025–26 season, where he’ll lead our talented group of 2010 players. At DME, we believe in Lucas—and he believes in DME. He’s a shining example that the traditional pathway isn’t the only road to success anymore and that having a team behind you is the most important asset a player can have.” Jared Antista – GM
