The DME Academy Sarasota 2009 boys, led by the ever-driven Coach Konrad, just wrapped up a great season—one that not only turned heads, but solidified this squad as one of the premier youth teams in the league for years to come.
Dominating the Elite Academy Southeast Division with a commanding 10-2-1 record, the 2009s didn’t just win—they set the standard. Clinching the top spot in the division, the boys earned their ticket to the EA National Championships in St. Louis, ready to compete against the very best.
And they delivered.
From the opening game, the DME 2009s played with unity, and purpose advancing to the Elite 8. Though they fell to a strong Tonka Fusion squad, the boys finished 5th overall in the nation—a staggering accomplishment in a field loaded with talent.
Coach Konrad has been instrumental in building a winning culture rooted in development and speed of play. What makes this team special isn’t just the talent, but the mentality. These boys fight for each other. They play for the badge. And under Coach Konrad’s leadership, they’ve become a unit that believes in something bigger.
The ceiling? Nowhere in sight.
With the foundation set and belief surging, the 2009s are poised for even greater heights next season. Congratulations to the boys on one hell of a season – and get ready, because DME is just getting started.
