After just a few preseason training sessions—split between indoor and outdoor due to Florida’s August weather—DME Sarasota made a big statement in Orlando. Facing top competition from ECNL RL, MLS 2, and NPL programs, our players rose to the challenge.

With 18 Sarasota teams in attendance, DME’s presence was felt everywhere from restaurants to hotels, and most importantly, on the fields around Lake Nona. The buzz was real: Orlando was painted in DME colors.

“Our club exists for committed and passionate players and families who want to enjoy life through sport. Even in Orlando in August, soccer inspires,” said Jared Antista. “We set the tone early. While many clubs start with in-house scrimmages or local scrimmage, we want our players under pressure—playing multiple matches, in multiple positions, with a winning mindset. Why limp into a season when you can dive in?”

Finals day brought some weather delays, leaving a few tables unsettled, but the results still spoke volumes. DME Academy Sarasota teams combined for 35 wins, 7 losses, and 9 ties, earning an impressive 77% winning percentage across the weekend. With 18 teams in, 16 made podium runs in the finals in their respected brackets. 6 champions have officially been crowned, 7 teams are in the finals still to be officially called and 3 teams finished officially as finalists after tough final games.

The weekend proved what we already know here and most people in our area are starting to recognize: DME Academy, Sarasota is built for players who want more. With a 77% winning percentage against good competition and 16 out of 18 teams making a final, our athletes showed they’re ready for the season ahead.
