It’s finally in the books, the Re-Match is here!

The DME Academy, High School National Team will travel down to Sarasota to square off against the DME Academy, Elite Academy Black Team (05/06 boys). Both teams have had great years to date but this match up is one that both teams look forward to. The game will take place on April 26th at 7 PM at Tatum Ridge fields.

Thales Peterson and the boys from Daytona will venture down to the west coast of Florida to match up with Jake Dube’s boys. The event will feature fundraising elements for the club and while we expect a competitive and hard-fought game there are elements of cooperation and a shared mission to grow the game. Over the last year the two programs have worked together regarding guest playing, showcase participation, and cross-team training sessions. We are stronger in numbers and the connectivity between Daytona and Sarasota is quite unique.

Last year’s matchup ended in a 4-0 victory for Daytona in Coach Peterson’s first game of his exciting career at DME. He has gone on to lead the boys to impressive top-bracket Super Cup victories as well as countless wins against top ECNL, MLS, and collegiate programs.  Coach Dube has got the boys working together, raised their status to a top 1/3 team in the Elite Academy, and has also won tournament trophies, most recently a Finalist medal in the Weston Cup.
