Weekend Recap: DME Academy Sarasota Kicks Off League Play in Dominant Fashion

DME Academy Sarasota opened the majority of league play action this past weekend with a statement across both the boys’ and girls’ programs—delivering results that highlight the club’s commitment to a winning mindset.
Boys Program Sets the Tone
The boys’ side of DME showed just how deep and competitive we are across multiple league platforms.

2007/08 – 2013 NAL Boys vs. Nona Soccer Academy
Saturday was a clean sweep as the boys from the National Academy League went 6 for 6, proving themselves as one of the most complete programs in Florida over a tough club from Orlando. Most games were competitive with the 2010 boys standing out with a 13-0 win. Overall, 26 goals for, 4 against. -
2007/08 -2013 EA Boys vs Miami Athletic and Albion
On Saturday, the EA squads finished 4-2 vs Miami Athletic, then followed up on Sunday with a 4-1-1 record over Albion. That combined 8-3-2 weekend is an early indication that these groups will be in the mix all season long for a nationals run in the Elite Academy League. -
Additional Boys Highlights

2009 Boys White (NPL) recorded a win and a tie (1-0-1).

2016 Boys Black and Blue teams both walked away victorious (3-0).

2014 Boys Blue, 18 Boys, and 17 Boys (Tampa) all earned wins and recorded no losses (3-0)

In total, across all boys’ teams, DME recorded 20 wins, 3 losses and 2 ties—an incredible way to start the league season.
Girls Program Matches the Energy
Though fewer matches were on the slate, the girls mirrored the winning mentality.

2011 Girls Black went a perfect 2-0, outscoring the opponents 17-0.

2012 Girls Blue matched that with their own 2-0 weekend, outscoring the opponents 10-0.
Club-Wide Performance
When the final whistle blew on Sunday, DME Academy Sarasota stood at 24-3-2 overall, earning victories against programs including FC Sarasota, Miami Albion, Nona Soccer Academy, North Port, West Florida Flames, and Florida Premier.
