DME Academy Sarasota Athletes Earn National Recognition at EA Winter Event

December 11, 2025

DME Academy Sarasota is proud to announce that two of our young athletes — Jaxson Turasz and Cole Castro — have been officially recognized as top performers at the Elite Academy Winter Event. With more than 6,200 players competing from across the country, earning this distinction places them among the true elite of the EA platform.

Their performances were not only noticed — they rose above, demonstrating the quality, work ethic, and competitive mentality that define our DME Academy pathway.

National Identification & International Opportunity

Because of their standout performances, Jaxon and Cole have now been identified as candidates for one of the most prestigious youth events in the world:
The MIC Tournament in Barcelona, Spain — March 31 to April 6, 2026.

As EA-recognized players, they are eligible for consideration to represent both the United States and the Elite Academy on a national team roster built specifically for this world-class competition. Barcelona’s MIC Tournament has long been a proving ground for future professionals, and having our players in the selection pool speaks volumes about our program and their development. The best part, the trip is covered by the EA if the boys end up on the final roster!

A Proud Moment for DME Academy Sarasota

“I love seeing these boys get recognized. They follow in a long line of successful players that have represented DME & the EA at the MIC event in Spain. Off the top of my head we sent Lucas Turasz (cousin to Jaxson), Lucas Diaz, and Will Pierre in the past.  Keep working hard boys and we appreciate your loyalty, energy and passion for DME and the game.” – Jared Antista, Owner

The journey continues — and so does the standard.
