DME Sarasota Girls Dominate Tampa Cup
September 2, 2025
What a weekend for our girls program at the 2025 Tampa Cup! Out of six DME teams competing, four brought home hardware—three championships and one finalist finish. The culture of excellence we’re building in Florida is shining through at every age group.
2015 Girls – Two Squads, One Finalist
DME entered two teams in this age group, showing just how deep our talent pool is.
-
DME Tampa went 1-0-2 in group play, leading the way to the final. They tied #1 Cape Coral in the group stage, then fell just short in a 2-1 rematch battle in the championship match.
-
DME Tiki-Taka went 1-2 in group play but made a huge statement by handing Cape Coral their only loss of the tournament.
This age band is stacked with talent and depth, and the results prove it, just wait to see these two groups shine.
2014 Girls – Champions
The 2014s took care of business with a 3-1 record and a championship trophy. Along the way, they knocked off #10 TBU Pre-ECNL and #13 Tampa Dynamo in Florida—both massive wins that showcase the team’s rise.
2012 Girls – Champions
The 2012s battled their way to the top, finishing 3-1 and taking home the championship in thrilling fashion. They defeated #4 West Florida Flames GA in penalty kicks after a hard-fought match.
HS Girls Showcase Team – Champions
The showcase team put on a clinic—3-0, three clean sheets, and a championship trophy. They didn’t concede a single goal the entire tournament, proving their winning mentality is getting stronger with each day.
Building Something Special in Sarasota & Tampa
“So proud of our girls program today. We’ve come a long way, but we’re just scratching the surface. Our coaching staff is top-notch. We preach fundamentals over flash, team over self. We build strong teams with strong character—that’s why we’re different.”
— Jared Antista, GM & Coach 2012
DME Sarasota is proving we can compete with any team, in any league. We’re here to stay.
